Let me tell you about Memory Lane |
![]() |
Memory Lane Mobile Entertainment was established in 1990 by Russ Hopkins who has been a mobile disc jockey since 1985 performing in Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey and New York. Besides working Nightclubs and Lounges, Russ, known as The Mad Man of Music, Baltimore's Original "Bad Boy" has been the Master of Ceremonies and DJ for numerous Weddings, New Years Eve and Christmas parties, corporate and company picnics and parties, bull roasts, crab feasts, car shows and other events.
As a member of the Lost in the 50s Custom Car Club Russ presently provides his services to the club on alternate Saturday evenings from 6 pm until 9 pm at Glen Burnie Center on Ritchie Hwy Glen Burnie MD from April 1st until October 31st, so if you are in the area stop in, check out the cars, the music, and say Hi.
Russ also donates his time and talent for 3 charity events per year. He has a soft spot for children's charities, so keep that in mind when you call for information. You must be a registered non-profit charitable organization, and the profits must be designated to a particular charity in order to qualify for this service.
The concept of Memory Lane from the start is to provide quality entertainment for those who still enjoy the oldies music, that is music from the 50s, 60, 70, and 80s. Music like Carolina Shag or (Beach Music) as some call it, Doo Wop, Jitterbug, Motown and Disco. From artists like The Dells, The Platters, Elvis, Johnny Rivers, The Fantastic Shakers, Chuck Berry, The Temptations, The Four Tops, Otis Redding, The Marvelettes, and many many more.
Russ Hopkins being the primary Disc Jockey for the company can only be at one event at a time but have no fear Memory Lane has associated it self with some of the best DJ's in the area and Russ has personally interview and auditioned each of them to insure that Memory Lane clients get the finest DJ entertainment available.
Keep in mind that The Mad Man of Music, Baltimore's Original "Bad Boy" can only be at one event at a time, so if Russ is the DJ that you want you will need to book early because his calendar fills quickly.
